The medicine of sound, vibration and mantra has become an essential tool for Janet Farquharson and her personal practice. She facilitates regular retreats incorporating the practices of yoga, meditation, pranayama, sound Journeys, noble silence, mantra chanting and a healthy & wholesome plant-based lifestyle. In 2019, Janet returned to Nepal to complete her sound healing therapist certification in 2019. She studied under Master Shree, who shared with her the ancient Tibetan Chakra balancing teachings with Tibetan singing bowls. She received her powerful Chakra Bowl set which is extremely skilfully handcrafted and ideal for her private sound healing energy balancing treatments.
Himalayan singing bowls have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes in Tibet, India and Nepal. They create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies within the body, mind and spirit. Sounds from the Himalayan singing bowls stimulate the brain to move into Theta wave frequencies that induce deep, meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind, and heightened intuition. Sound Healing is an ideal way to stimulate the Vagus Nerve, drop into a deeply relaxed state and calm and balance the entire nervous system.
Mont Fleur is a small, intimate venue exclusive to a single group at a time, a “home away from home” where everyone feels special. It is a family run retreat venue, and they have been spoiling groups since 1989. They are situated in the Blaauwklippen Valley on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, nestled in the Stellenbosch & Helderberg Mountain ranges amidst fynbos and vineyards. Mont Fleur is blessed with amazing natural beauty and offers you a welcome escape from the hustle, bustle and stress of city life. Despite being a secluded mountain retreat, Mont Fleur is only 30 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 45 minutes from Cape Town.
